Tuscany - Phoenix, AZ

The adjacent neighbors were divided regarding the proposal for attached two-story motorcourt condominiums adjacent to their single story patio homes. After all, the proposed townhomes ranging up to 2,000+ square feet, were larger than their homes. Additionally, the narrow site on Glendale Ave in west Phoenix provided limited access and opportunity for building separation. Listening to their concerns, The Galloway Group proposed a plan that would use a gated, meandering private drive to buffer the existing homes from the proposed development. The courtyard design minimized the view of garage doors and provided individual front door entries to create the street character leading up to the recreation center at the visual terminus to the private drive.
