An existing trucking site within the redevelopment district of downtown Anaheim provided the location of John Laing Homes first infill development within the City. Located between Anaheim Boulevard, a major arterial roadway and a local residential street lined with vintage homes from the original colonization of the area, the site needed a solution that would address these two different edge conditions. The Galloway Group prepared a site plan that included 36 motorcourt townhomes designed by the Woodley Architectural Group along Anaheim Boulevard, indicative of historical 'brownstones' and sited 19 single family homes with a historic architectural character along the existing residential street. The plan included an intimate pocket park and achieved close to 11 units/acre overall.
