A steep hillside in Escondido had favorable zoning for a multi-family development but the site was not so friendly with slopes in excess of 25%. It was apparent that the most feasible solution would need to minimize site development costs while avoiding a split level architectural product with inherent additional construction costs. The Galloway Group created a site plan that maximized distant mountain views utilizing a serpentine, single loaded street to traverse the steep site. A central recreation center with a pool provided the activity core.
